Nearly two weeks ago, on 20.05.2016, came the new European Union's Tobacco Products Directive,

BUT, every country has to put it to effect, and may add on to it.

So the real effects of the TPD on vaping are:

• Maximum nicotine Liquid nicotine content of 20mg / ml and the maximum size of 10ml .. Bye bye 30ml bottles!
• Tank: maximum size of 2ml (you should buy some before the #vapocalypse)
• Marketing prohibition -> will enter into force as soon as each country includes it in their law. This also applies to the marketing in SOME, like Facebook and Instagram, newsletters, etc.
• Prohibition of online sales in some countries. The transitional period has been foreseeable future until the end of the year. So you can still buy them.

• Now the "fully leak-proof filling"
• Depends on how this is interpreted, but most of the existing equipment is going to disappear from the market. Now is the time to buy your favorite tank or two before the new regulations apply! You can buy cheap tanks from AliExpess (delivery approx. 1 month) or from cheap-e-liquid-store.co.uk .
• In many countries the sellers will get a transitional period of 6 months to sell off the stock.
• And the most important point: the manufacturers have to pay large sums of money (about € 500 per item.) to bring new products to the market. Testing of new products will be mandatory. And e-Cigarettes may be taxed. Prices rise, and Big Tobacco yet again rules the world ..
